Sarah has been a registered podiatrist since 1998 and has lectured in anatomy at LaTrobe University's Health Sciences department. She specialises in lower limb anatomy and biomechanics and has a special interest in functional disorders of the lower extremities. Utilising the latest in computerised gait analysis technology which measures foot pressure, analyses gait (how you walk), and can even assess posture and balance for an all over computerised biomechanical report.
The 'Walkway' is a cutting-edge assessment tool containing thousands of micro-sensors to measure foot pressure during walking and standing, making measurements very accurate and scientifically reliable.
Sarah is also one of only a handful of podiatrists trained in foot mobilisation therapy (FMT) that aims to improve the motion and biomechanics of the feet. FMT is useful in the management of many foot, leg and knee problems including, heel pain, flat feet, ankle instability, bunions and shin pain. Other podiatry treatments may include prescription orthotics, dry needling, lower limb rehabilitation and stretching programs.
Where required custom designed orthotics (shoe inserts) are created through a computerised CAD/CAM process. Our orthotics are constructed from a variety of softer material providing more flexibility and comfort whilst still providing good durable strength for long-term use.
